What is your biggest fear?
For so many years my biggest fear was that people would find out that I am “psychic” … but the reason I was afraid is because I am Christian. I love my church family but was afraid that I would be judged by them and also being from a small community, I did not want my children to be judged on their “crazy“ mom ??♀️
The funny thing is even though I was trying to hide the fact that I’m Psychic; when I finally decided to admit it publicly, NONE of my good friends were surprised at all ? here I thought I was “hiding” this whole time. Instead the reactions were : “duh” (yes literally that was a couple of the reactions ?) ; “no wonder Bible studies are always so interesting when you’re there”; “no wonder you know what words to pray for me” …and while MOST of the responses were positive, I had a handful of people who completely rejected me, told me I was going to hell or that they were concerned for my soul. (Ouch) you can read more about my personal story here.
But here’s the thing. What I have learned is that this is a reflection of their own fear. It has nothing to do with me personally, but they are trapped in own insecurities and worries.
I could go on a rampage and ask why they think the spiritual gifts are only reserved for profits like Daniel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Haggai (and the list goes on), when the Bible clearly says that Jesus said “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done”
But I won’t ??
Honestly let’s look at the principles Jesus taught: Love most of all. But also:
- “I am with you” Jesus is always with us… don’t you think that would mean he would also talk to us?
- Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to cast a stone. Come on people don’t jump so quickly into judgment.
- Fear not Enough said! Why are you so afraid?
- Faith of a mustard seed Believe, even just a little and you’ll be amazed.
- Ask Believe Receive Pretty straight forward right?
- Let your light shine Let LOVE radiate from your whole entire being
The Bible also says:
Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.
Acts 2:17 In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams
Matthew 7:20 So then, you will know them by their fruits.
John 14:12, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do
Joel 2:28 Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions
There is also reference to “false prophets.” I agree with that. There are many doing “Spiritual Work” who are not working with the highest and best love and light. This is where discernment comes in.
Use your own discernment to know what is right for you. If you don’t align with someone’s message, then don’t listen to it. You and you alone know where you stand with God. And as I’ve always told my kids “if you and God are good, nothing else matters”
Lead with love ❤️ plain and simple
Ok soooo Maybe I went on just a little rampage!
